To gain a solid understanding of nutrition, first you must start with the building blocks of nutrition; namely carbohydrates, fats, proteins, minerals and vitamins.

To know what they are used for, and what they are broken down into, in the body allows you to then suggest appropriate dietary needs for yourself and those around you.

If you work in the health and fitness industry or with food, having a thorough understanding can be beneficial to your work and the service you provide. The Human Nutrition Foundation course is the perfect start to your career if you have a strong interest in nutrition and would like to help others.

Please note: To work as a nutritionist or prescribe food supplements in most developed countries you will be required to do more study than this 100 hour course. This is a foundation course which allows you to go onto further studies if you choose to.
