This course provides you with a full introduction to the entire Galileo system, teaching you a range of core skills to start your career in the travel industry.


Most travel companies are computerised and use a GDS (Global Distribution System) to book flights, hotels and car hire. Learning a GDS has many benefits, it could mean the difference to you securing your ideal travel job!


Galileo is a computer reservations system owned by Travelport.  It was developed in 1971 by United Airlines.  Galileo enjoys around 25% of the global market, very strong in Europe & India.  Airlines that use Galileo include United Airlines, Air Canada, Aer Lingus, Alitalia and Swiss Air.  Other companies such as EBookers, HRG, Carlson Wagon, Uniglobe, Portman Travel and P&O are also using this GDS.


It is perfect for a beginner as it gives you 40 hours of training time covering airline reservations, automated fares & ticketing, car hire and hotel reservations.  This course is run online using a Galileo Simulator so you can use the software as you learn.

 

This is a self study course including 24 lessons, 5 self assessed quizzes and 1 final marked exam

 

Maximum Completion Time:
50 hours to be spent within 6 months. In the event that you are unable to complete your home study course within the specified timescale, you can
